Principle
- A zinc mobilizing medium is used for the cultivation of zinc-solubilizing bacteria from soil samples as a potential biofertilizer. The zinc solubilizing bacteria solubilized inorganic zinc to solubilize the form of zinc, which is used by plants for growth and development.
- The media is composed of glucose, ammonium sulfate, potassium chloride, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate, magnesium sulfate, and zinc oxide. Glucose is a carbon and energy source.
- The utilization of glucose increases the hydrogen ion concentration, ammonia assimilation, and gluconic acid production. The slats provide various ions necessary for the growth of zinc-solubilizing bacteria.
