Western Blocking Buffer- Western blot Reagent
Western Blocking Buffer is suitable for blocking transfer membranes such as PVDF or Nitro Cellulose membrane in Western Blot to prevent the non-specific binding of the subsequent primary antibody or secondary antibody to the membrane. Based on the requirement, 5-10 ml of blocking solution is required for each membrane. It prevents the non-specific binding of the antibody to the membrane by saturating the membrane with nonreactive proteins. The background can be reduced, and the signal-to-noise ratio can be enhanced to achieve the desired color rendering effect.
IFU: It is a ready-to-use product therefore no dilution is required. After protein transfer, place the transfer membrane in a container, add a sufficient amount of membrane-blocking solution to fully cover the membrane, shake at room temperature for 30-60 minutes to complete the membrane blocking, and then perform subsequent operations such as primary antibody incubation. Blocking at room temperature for 60 minutes is usually sufficient. For some antibodies with a very high background, block overnight at 4°C.
