The PChE Plasma Cholinesterase Assay Kit, Model 470

This specialized kit is used with the Model 400 analyzer to measure plasma (liquid component of blood) cholinesterase activity.

• Purpose: Used as an additional marker for pesticide exposure. Because plasma cholinesterase is more sensitive to certain pesticides and has a shorter half-life, this kit helps distinguish between acute and chronic poisoning.

• Capacity: Contains supplies necessary to perform 96 tests using whole blood.

• Measured & Displayed Metrics (when analyzer is in PChE mode):

  • PChE activity: Displayed in U/mL and as a percentage normal (%N) relative to 2.55 U/mL.

  • Hgb (Hemoglobin): Displayed in g/dL and as a %N relative to 15.0 g/dL.

• What’s Included: Assay buffer tubes, premeasured single-test reagents, blood sampling capillaries, sample capillary wipes, dropper bottle of distilled water, transfer pipettes, 9 Volt battery, and a detailed package insert.
