Principle
- Soybean casein digest agar is used for the cultivation of a wide variety of organisms.
- It is also recommended by USP, IP, and EP for sterility testing and as a medium for microbial limit testing of pharmaceutical products and raw materials used in pharmaceutical industries.
- The medium is highly nutritious and prepared in accordance with the harmonized principles of USP/EP/IP.
- Medium is consisting of a pancreatic digest of casein, papain digest of soybean, sodium chloride, and agar.
- The pancreatic digest of casein, and papain digest of soybean provides ample amount of carbon and nitrogen source and trace. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic balance and agar is used as a solidifying agent.
