Protein G 4FF column - affinity purification of protein
Protein G 4FF (Fast Flow) is a Highly Cross-Linked 4% Agarose gel that allows the purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies at relatively high flow rates.
Protein G FF is an affinity chromatography medium for the separation and purification of lgG. Protein G is a cell wall protein isolated from G Streptococci that binds to mammalian IgG via its Fc fragment. Recombinant protein G contains high affinity binding sites, reducing non-specific adsorption. Protein G and Protein A have different lgG binding properties. Compared with Protein A, Protein G has a stronger binding ability to polyclonal antibodies such as cattle, sheep and horses. It can also bind rats that cannot bind well with Protein A. lgG, human lgG3, and mouse lgG1, the specific binding ability is shown.
