Picophor is the smallest and most practical manual electrophoresis system with which it is possible to perform electrophoretic methods such as Serum Proteins, Hemoglobins, Lipoproteins, Urine Proteins and, upon request, also immunofixations.
Using a practical serum rack, it allows you to perform up to 40 samples distributed on 5 cellulose acetate strips.
Immunofixations can be performed using an additional 5-position rack.
Migration takes place in an electrophoresis chamber connected to a programmable power supply.

− It is possible to set voltage, current, power and time for routine electrophoretic runs.
− Operations are timer controlled. The microcontroller ends the run automatically when the selected time value is reached, count down.
− It is possible to work at constant voltage or constant current with automatic cross over. It is possible to view the values on the built-in display.
− Gradual increase in voltage or current until one of the set limits is reached.
− The power supply is protected against any overload condition, including the accidental short circuit of the outputs.
− When the migration chamber lid is opened, the system automatically disconnects the power.
