Principle
- Kings B medium is described by King et al., (1954), for non-selective isolation of pigment-producing Pseudomonas Species. Media is composed of protease peptone, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate, magnesium sulfate, and agar.
- Protease peptone provides nitrogen and other necessary trace nutrients for the growth of bacteria. Dipotassium phosphate and magnesium sulfate enhance pigment production. Agar is solidifying agent. The glycerol serves as a carbon source.
