Hoechst 33342 fluorescent probe - Cell Detection Reagent
Hoechst 33342, also known as bis-Benzimide H 33342 or HOE 33342, is a blue fluorescent dye that penetrates cell membranes and is less toxic to cells.
Hoechst 33342 staining is commonly used for apoptosis detection, staining, and observation by fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry. Hoechst 33342 is also commonly used for common nuclear staining or conventional DNA staining. Hoechst 33342 has a maximum excitation wavelength of 346 nm and a maximum emission wavelength of 460 nm. After Hoechst 33342 and double-stranded DNA are combined, the maximum excitation wavelength is 350 nm and the maximum emission wavelength is 461 nm. The Hoechst 33342 staining solution is a ready-to-use type that can be directly used for cell nuclear staining of fixed cells or tissues, and can also be directly used for staining of cells in living cells or tissues.
