Hoechst 33258 fluorescent probe - Cell Detection Reagent
Hoechst 33258, also known as bis-Benzimide H 33258 or HOE 33258, is a blue fluorescent dye that penetrates cell membranes and is less toxic to cells.
Hoechst 33258 staining is commonly used for apoptosis detection, staining and observation by fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry. Hoechst 33258 is also commonly used for common nuclear staining, or conventional DNA staining. Hoechst 33258 has a maximum excitation wavelength of 346 nm and a maximum emission wavelength of 460 nm. After Hoechst 33258 and double-stranded DNA are combined, the maximum excitation wavelength is 350 nm and the maximum emission wavelength is 461 nm. The Hoechst 33258 staining solution is a ready-to-use type that can be directly used for cell nuclear staining of fixed cells or tissues, and can also be directly used for staining of cells in living cells or tissues.
