Embedding Reagent for frozen section
Frozen section embedding agent is a water-soluble mixture of polyethylene glycol and polyvinyl alcohol. It has been widely used in immunohistochemistry to support tissue during frozen section to increase tissue continuity, reduce wrinkles and chipping.
Salient Features:
a) Clear, colorless solution, free of particles, water soluble cryostat embedding medium for tissue specimen sectioning and long term cold storage.
b) Provides an exact freeze point resulting in a homogenous matrix along with thinner sections.
c) Provides convenient specimen matrix for cryostat sectioning at temperatures of -10°C and below.
d) Leaves no residue on slides during staining procedure, eliminating undesirable background staining.
e) Can be frozen between -10° and -80°C.
f) Dripping bottle packaging, convenient to use.
