Bine Serum Albumin- Cell Culture Reagent
Bine Serum Albumin (BSA) is a globulin in bovine serum, also known as the fifth component. Bovine serum albumin is used in cell culture. In the process of virus-cell separation, BSA solution is added to the DMEM medium to replace bovine serum to prevent a pancreatic enzyme in virus growth solution from being inactivated and affected by the bovine serum. Viral particles replicate while providing nutrients for cell growth and also protecting viral particles.
