14-3-3 zeta (pS58) blocking peptide
Blocking peptide binds specifically to the target antibody and block undesirable antibody binding.
This occurs because the peptide resembles the epitope for which the antibody is specific, therefore, the antibody binds to the blocking peptide are no longer able to bind to the epitope in the protein.
Pre-adsorption with blocking peptide greatly improves the results and it is extremely useful in immunohistochemistry (IHC) or in Western blotting (immunobloting) when non-specific binding is an issue.
