Bio-Safety Cabinet
- The Class II, Biological Safety Cabinet is an open-front ventilated cabinet.
- This cabinet provides a ULPA-filtered re-circulated mass airflow within the workspace. The exhaust air from the cabinet is also filtered by a ULPA filter. Thus, the Class II biosafety cabinet protects the product as well as human beings and the environment.
- While ULPA filters are effective for trapping particulates and infectious agents, it is suitable for the containment of biohazardous material thereby providing a sterile environment for cell culture. Thus, a Class II cabinet is the most versatile and economical model.
